This role supports the Student Accommodations Program Director (SAPD) in ensuring high standards and efficient delivery of our student accommodation service. ILSC currently offers both homestay and alternative accommodation. The Accommodation Coordinator is a member of the student services team, ensuring we deliver exceptional and transformative services, and will assist with other areas of student services as required.

Job Duties: 

Work collaboratively with the accommodations team, ensuring high standards and efficient delivery of our student accommodation service by:

  • booking students with homestay families;
  • meeting and advising who are currently in or are requesting accommodation;
  • acting as a mediator between homestay families and students when an issues arises;
  • actively recruiting homestay families and alternative accommodation, including visiting the accommodation;
  • revisiting and reassessing current accommodation;
  • conducting regular accommodation student evaluations and following up on results;
  • being on-call carrying the homestay emergency phone on the roster;
  • actively communicating with students, accommodation providers and other staff at ILSC;
  • reviewing and recommending improvements;
  • other tasks as designated by the SAPD.

Works as a member of the student services team, ensuring we deliver exceptional and transformative services by:

  • registering students when required;
  • advising students;
  • covering front desk and other administration duties as required;
  • running or participating in projects, as requested by the School Director or SAPD;
  • participating in and arranging school-wide activities and meetings as required.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes: 
  • A second language
  • A driver’s license with a clean driving record and access to a reliable car
  • Good ability to be diplomatic, listen to clients and find solutions
  • Demonstrated strong administrative and computer skills
  • Demonstrated ability to set goals, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a dynamic team
